* Sunday, Sept. 18 . Our praise band opens worship. Pastor Noel's sermon on the Good Samaritan parable: See Something, Say Something. Bible study 11:20 - 12:30 pm: overview of the Book of Jeremiah, which we are reading through this fall in our Old Testament readings at worship.
* Sunday, Sept. 25 - Jeremiah 25:1-3, 8-14 is the key scripture to this sermon on "Listening." We can all do better listening to those around us, but does this skill begin with listening to God?
* Sunday, Oct. 2. World Communion Sunday celebrated. Meditation: Remembering Our Best Intentions. II Timothy 1:3-7. Paul's advice to Timothy isn't bad advice for us to consider either: recall the goals, dreams, and hard work you put in when you first started!
* Sunday, Oct. 9. Worship: "How to Discern the Will of God." Jeremiah 39:1-10 and James 2;14-17 are two tough scriptures to consider!
Following worship, we have a Westchester Habitat work day in Mount Vernon. It begins with a light luncheon at the church at 12:30 pm. Help us host the volunteer workers, or sign up to be a volunteer worker at a Habitat site in Mount Vernon yourself!
*Sunday, Oct. 16 - "Don't Be Afraid to Bother God." (God can take it!). Luke 18:1-8. Following the end of worship we have our biannual Congregational Meeting, this one focused on electing leaders and discussing our program priorities for this next year. All welcome to participate.
